2011 Earth Day

What began as a pilot program during the 2001-2002 school year, "Celebration Earth", continues to grow and become a popular activity for elementary and middle school students. For Earth Day 2011, 160 students from LaGrange Elementary School joined us at Ashbourne Farms on Friday, April 1st.
John Black, Oldham County Deputy Judge-Executive began the day with a reading of an Earth Day Proclamation.

Presenters for each station were professional representatives within their respective positions in state, federal and private agencies. Students enjoyed visiting the following presenters and listening to their topics.
